Sanitation
Cantonment Board Mathura is responsible for sanitation work of the Mathura Cantonment such as garbage lifting, waste disposal, cleaning of drains, cleaning of public roads & various public places. In order to provide a clean and safe environment. Door to door collection of garbage is being carried out in Cantt area regularly. Dustbins are placed at suitable locations and the waste is collected mechanically from there for disposal. The garbage collected from Cantt area is being disposed at SWM Plant.
Cantonment Board Mathura is implementing guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development under Swachh Bharat Mission. Regular cleaning drives with public participation are being encouraged. There are 03 community toilets being maintained by this Board.
The whole Cantonment has been divided into two zones for Sanitation purpose. The Zones have been further divided into circles. Each zone is being looked after by the concerned S.I. and each circle is looked after by the Sanitary Jamadar.

Citizens Responsibilities
1. The citizens are responsible for deposit of garbage at the dustbins provided by the Board.
2.Open defecation is strictly prohibited in Cantt. area.
3.Single use plastic should not be used by any citizen in Cantt. area.
